Amaka AI now teaches in Wolof, Mandinka, Fula, Jola and ten more languages

A learner who understands the physics but not the phrasing looks exactly like a learner who does not understand the physics. Amaka AI removes that confusion by explaining in the language the learner actually thinks in.

Amaka AI supports fourteen languages, including Wolof, Mandinka, Fula, Jola, Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba and Swahili, alongside English, French and other global languages.

Translated at the right layer

Language selection happens at the narration and audio boundary — the reasoning, the visual plan and the drawing sequence are identical whichever language you choose. A Wolof explanation is not a lesser explanation with a translation bolted on; it is the same lesson, spoken differently.

  • The visual plan is language-independent, so diagrams, timing and labels stay consistent.
  • Narration and captions are generated in the target language.
  • Switching language mid-session does not restart the lesson.

Why this matters here

Most educational AI is built for learners who already read fluently in English. Across The Gambia and West Africa, that assumption quietly excludes the students who most need the help. Building for those languages first is not a feature. It is the point.
